Leslie Buxbaum Danzig co-created and directed 500 Clown Macbeth and 500 Clown Frankenstein and 500 Clown Christmas Carols. With her theater company DOG, Leslie conceived and directed Interference at PAC/edge 2003 and Windows Server 2003/Active Directory Infrastructure at PAC/edge 2004. Leslie co-directed Redmoon Theater's Hunchback at Steppenwolf Studio and the Henson International Festival of Puppet Theater at the Public Theater in NYC. With NYC's Elevator Repair Service, Leslie has developed and performed in works at P.S. 122 and the Performing Garage, and toured nationally and internationally. She has directed and performed original work in Chicago venues, in NYC at Movement Research and PS 122, and in Minneapolis with 3 Legged Race, and was assistant director to Julie Taymor on The Green Bird with Theater for a New Audience.

Leslie trained in physical theater at Ecole Jacques Lecoq and in clown with Philippe Gaulier and Ronlin Foreman; received her BA from Brown University; and is completing her PhD in Performance Studies at Northwestern University where she teaches and directs. She recently directed Six Characters in Search of An Author at the Theatre Conservatory at The Chicago College of Performing Arts - Roosevelt University.
