Adrian Danzig

Adrian Danzig is a Director, Actor, Clown and professor. He has worked with Mary Zimmerman, Les Waters, Joanne Akalaitis, Anne Bogart, Bernie Sahlins, Bread and Puppet Theater, and Shakespeare & Company, and has performed his solo works at The Kitchen, P.S. 122, The Ontological Hysteric Theater, Soho Rep, NADA and other New York venues. He's also performed in shows at The Goodman, The Second City, Steppenwolf Studio, Berkeley Rep, BAM, and The Public Theater and with The Midnight Circus, Lookingglass Theatre Company, and was an early Neo-futurist (1990-1991).

He is a founding member of Redmoon Theater, Hubinspoke Theater and 500 Clown. He graduated from the High School of Performing Arts, received his B.A. from Oberlin College where he majored in Government and his M.F.A. in Performance from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. He has studied Clown with Ctibor Turba, Philippe Gaulier, Ronlin Foreman, Dominique Jando, Els Comediants, and David Shiner and is a clown with Big Apple Circus' Clown Care. He currently teaches physical theater, circus and movement in the Theatre Conservatory at The Chicago College of Performing Arts - Roosevelt University. He also works as a movement and fight choreographer. He is proud of his association with The Field, an organization which helps artists to develop their work in NYC.
